Our Mission

Quantum computing is becoming a reality. Superconducting, ion traps, neutral atoms, … the hardware is getting there! However, software capable of handling numerous complex design tasks is needed to connect end users to these platforms. Unfortunately, software for quantum computing is still in its infancy and the development of quantum computing software remains challenging. The "Munich Quantum Software Company" aims to create industry-grade software tools and services that provide for quantum computing what we already take for granted in conventional IT.

Our Goal

Industry-Grade Quantum Computing Software

The Munich Quantum Software Company (MQSC) builds on the expertise of the Chair for Design Automation at the Technical University of Munich, leveraging decades of experience in developing world-class quantum computing software (such as MQT), designing interfaces to quantum hardware (such as QDMI), and integrating both into full-stack quantum frameworks (such as MQSS), and more.

Our mission is to transform academic breakthroughs into robust, industry-grade solutions, offering:

Fully-fledged implementations,
not just prototypes.

Utilization of top-notch software
engineering practices.

Development with a focus on
usability and accessibility.

Extensive platform support and
comprehensive documentation.

Our Work

Software Stacks

Software stacks connect end users to the platforms. We are contributing to the development of comprehensive software stacks such as the Munich Quantum Software Stack from the Munich Quantum Valley.

Compilation

010110
101001

Mapping quantum algorithms and circuits to specific platforms involves solving complex design and optimization problems. We develop and implement advanced solutions to translate high-level programs into executable instructions.

HW/SW Interfaces

Effective quantum computing relies on seamless hardware/software integration. Our interface solutions reconcile conflicting requirements, bridge heterogeneous technologies, and provide precise figures of merit and constraints to guide system design and compilation.

Application Demos

Conceptualizing and validating practical use cases is key for advancing the real-world impact of quantum computing. We support this through application design, demonstrators, circuit generation, and targeted benchmarking.

Consulting

Quantum computing is becoming real, but turning it into real value takes time and expertise. We help you cut through the hype with clear, realistic insights and practical guidance. Our talks, workshops, and hands-on tutorials prepare your team for what's ahead.
